Guide: How to look after your jewellery

How to look after your jewellery.

⸸ The best way to remove tarnish is to use a polishing cloth.

⸸  DON’T use 'silver dip’, it can damage your gemstones and will remove all our oxidised detailing.

⸸ If your gemstones have lost there sparkle, they may have dirt trapped in the back of the setting.

⸸ For gold and silver jewellery, mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water in a small bowl. Soak the jewellery in the solution for 10-15 minutes, then use a soft-bristled brush to gently clean the jewellery. Rinse with cool water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

⸸ Avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures

⸸ Remove jewellery before showering, swimming or exercising.

Storage

⸸ Find a cool, dry place; humidity will speed up tarnishing.

⸸ Keep jewellery away from free flowing air, you can use the box your jewellery came in.

Remember to always check the care instructions that came with your specific piece of jewellery, as some materials including porous and delicate stones will require specialised cleaning methods.
